On Sunday, September 9th Gavin turned 3! He weighs 33 lbs and is 39.3 inches tall. That puts him in the 89% for height and 70% for weight. He looks more like he is 4 not 3. He is wearing 4-5 toddler clothes and in between a 9 and 10 shoe size. His favorite foods are still pizza, happy meal at McDonalds, anything with ketchup, and my moms sugar cookies. He still loves the Cars movie the most but he does like to watch The Goofy Movie. Spongebob is still his most favorite TV show. His new obsession is MONSTER TRUCKS. Grandpa Darren showed him that you can watch monster truck videos on YouTube so now when he is with Grandpa Darren that's all he does. He has also figured out that he can watch them on our iPad at home. He says the funniest things to us. It amazes me how fast he catches on. The other day I was cleaning the house and doing a million things at once and he told me "mom, you need to chill out". He likes to tell stories too. Court came home from work the other day and asked Gav how he was and he replied " I was sad today and I cried" Court asked him why he cried and he said "because I was sad". He never cried that day. He also likes to say "because I's busy" when we ask him why he wont do what we want him to. The other day he pointed to some FALL blocks I made and said "mom, an A and an L and an L, two Ls." He amazes me with the things he knows. He loves his baby sister who he calls "Preswee" and he loves to talk baby talk to her. He always says "Hello baby Preswee. Hi baby Preswee" He holds her, and wants her to watch TV with him, and he even shares his monster trucks with her. I am sure I am forgetting so many things. He is just the best boy and we love him so much!
For his birthday this year he wanted a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Party. So that's what we did. We were also going to Disneyland a few days after his birthday so I think that inspired his idea. He wanted a motorcycle bike for his birthday more than anything. We had wanted to get him a bike and when I was showing him some online he spotted this blue bike that looked like a motorcycle and as much as I tried to talk him out of it his mind was set. He woke up on his birthday and opened his presents and when he was all done we made him close his eyes and we brought in his bike. He was so excited. If he could carry it with him in the car it would go everywhere with us. For his party we had some of his favorite foods. Hot ham and cheese sandwiches, chips and dip, and watermelon. Every year on his birthday the weather has been unpredictable. His first birthday it was freezing, his second it poured rain 30 minutes before his party, and this year it was so HOT! I planned to have everyone outside in the backyard and even put up a canopy for shade but it was so hot that people stayed inside. My house isn't really set up for 32 people so it was a little crowded. I love having parties but I felt bad that everyone was crammed inside. Gavin got so spoiled from everyone. He is one lucky little boy. Thanks everyone for coming and loving Gavin!
