Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So love the people who treat you right, forget about the ones who don't and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said it would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

Preslie Sam Ruesch

Seven years ago on March 29th Courtney and I went on our first date. We had no idea that exactly 7 years later on the same day we would give birth to our second child. After months of shots, medicine, and hospital visits we are happy to announce that Preslie Sam Ruesch is here and healthy! She weighed 5 pounds 9 ounces and was 17 1/2 inches. She was born at 11:23 am. It all started about 1 in the morning when I woke up with contractions. I waited an hour and a half before waking up Court to go to the hospital. We took our time getting ready and dropping off Gavin because I wanted to make sure it was for real and I was hoping to dilate more. We got to the hospital at 4 am. They got us in a room and checked me right away to see what was happening. I was only dilated to a 2 1/2 which is what I had been for a week or so. The nurse said she would check back in an hour to see if anything had changed. When she came back I was a 3 but was having contractions every minute or less so she went to call my doctor. The shift changed for the nurses and my new nurse came in and immediately got me admitted and ready to get an epidural because my doctor was coming in to break my water since I was so close. My epidural was hell! It took 3 tries before the doctor actually got it in and working. The first try shocked my whole body and made my legs kick out in front of me. The second try hurt so bad on my side. I was ready to run! As soon as she finally got it going my doctor broke my water. Everyone left thinking it would be a few hours until it was time. Not even an hour later the nurse came running in the room to check me because the baby's heart rate had dropped. I was dilated to a 10 and it was time to push! We hurried and called my parents and Courts parents back to the hospital. I don't remember how long it took to push but I know it was pretty fast and she was here! She is perfect and healthy and we just can't get enough of her!

Here are the pictures her birth day
