I couldn't wait for Christmas Eve this year because it meant Courts crazy work schedule would be over! He worked so hard this year and we are so grateful for everything he does for us. The month of December was really hard because I was sick most every day with a cold and horrible cough. Court worked every day all day so Gavin and I spent a lot of time at my moms house. Gavin loved to drive around and look at Christmas lights so we did that a lot. The weekend before Christmas I was feeling horrible. My whole body hurt from coughing so hard and so much. I finally decided to take a Mucinex (which was my doctor told me was OK) I never do good with cold medicine but I was so miserable that I decided it was worth it. I actually slept through the night and didn't cough....Until I was woken up by contractions at 5:30 AM! I got up and ate something and drank a ton of water because I knew that's what they say to try to stop your contractions. That didn't work at all! So I took a warm bath and that did nothing to help. By this time I was timing them because they were happening so often. After an hour of trying different things to help I decided I had to wake up Court which was the last thing I wanted to do since it was his only morning to sleep in before his big Xmas week started. He was a little out of it and unsure what I should do so I called my mom. After talking to her I decided I had to go in to Labor and Delivery and get checked out. When we got there and hooked up to the monitors I was having contractions every 2-5 minutes. They put me on medicine and started to get things under control. At 11 Court had to go to work and my dad came to sit with me. My mom had to finish my Xmas shopping for me. I ended up having to stay over night. I am so thankful for the hospital and what they can do but I hate being there! I told Court to go home to sleep because he couldn't miss work and my dad stayed with me. We didn't get any sleep! I was sent home without medicine and told to take it easy because my contractions had stopped. They tell me there is no way Mucinex could cause contractions but I know that's what did it! I have had a few scares since then and we are doing everything we can to keep this baby girl from coming until it is safe.
CHRISTMAS EVE
We spend Christmas Eve with the Rueschs every year. We have pancakes for dinner and exchange gifts. Gavin had so much fun with his cousins. Earlier in the day Gavin and I visited my parents. Here are the pictures.

Taylors friend Heather gave Gavin a Cars tent and he loves it!
I don't think Gavin was so sure what was going on Christmas morning. He was looking at us like "why is mom taking my picture and dad recording me? I'm just walking down the stairs!" He figured it out pretty fast when he got to the bottom and saw his new Cars racetrack. We had a hard time getting him to open his presents because he was happy with the racetrack. Christmas day is always crazy busy for us. This year we had decided to make time to be back at home to take a nap and let Gavin play with his toys. It didn't work out so well. After we opened presents at home we got ready and went to my parents house for breakfast and to exchange gifts with them. By the time we left we were all ready for a nap. Gavin fell asleep on the way home. We all napped for a while and then it was time to hurry and get ready to head to my grandparents house. We stayed there about an hour and then went to my other grandparents. After that it was time to go to the Rueschs for dinner. It was a long day but so much fun. I love Christmas!
