Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So love the people who treat you right, forget about the ones who don't and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said it would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

NICU Party at St. Marks Hospital

A few weeks ago St. Marks had a NICU party for all the preemie babies. We thought it would be fun to go and see some of the nurses that took care of our baby. I honestly don't know what we would have done without the great staff that helped us through the 15 VERY LONG DAYS that we had to leave Gavin there. Unfortunately, it wasn't exactly the reunion party we thought it was going to be. It was packed with people and only two nurses were there and they weren't ones we had become close with. They had face painting, balloon animals, and a fishing pond. We only did the fishing part because it was hot and so crowded. Gavin did get a pair of sunglasses that have become his favorite!

I thought it would be fun to look back and Gavin when he was in the hospital, he was so little! He is definitely not a baby anymore....

All the babies that had been in the NICU registered in a book and got a cute sticker with their name and birth date on it.

And here are the glasses that he wears ALL THE TIME!

The fishing pond

The sidewalk was full of their names and birth dates too
