Our journey to India has begun!

We arrived at the Salt Lake Airport at about 7:30 in the morning. Our flight was delayed an hour so we got breakfast and rested while we waited for our plane.

Landon was flying around the airport pretending he was a plane.

We finally boarded our plane at 11:oo a.m. Sunday December 28. Our next stop was Atlanta and we had about 20 minutes to grab something to eat and be to our gate to board our plane to India. There are 12 of us in a group and 5 of us our white when we got to our gate we were the only white people boarding the plane and I was the ONLY blonde. The first few hours of our flight were great we were all excited to finally be on the plane and every seat had a t.v. screen in front of them with lots of movies and t.v. shows but after the first 2 movies our legs hurt and we couldn't get comfortable enough to really get any sleep. There was a really cute little indian boy that sat next to Courtney he smiled the whole time. If I could of taken a picture of him I would have! After 15 very uncomfortable and tiring ours we landed in Mumbai, India at 8:30 p.m. Monday night. As scared as I was I was so excited to be on land! After going through customs I asked Ayesha to go to the bathroom with me. While I was washing my hands 3 Indian girls came into the bathroom and started talking to each other and then they started to play with my hair. They seemed so amazed to see blonde. Piya (our friend that lives in India) met us at the airport and helped us get our bags and get through the airport to our bus as fast as possible. We are so thankful to have her here to help us. Walking outside to our bus was scary there were guards with guns and people everywhere!


Our bus ride was long but we were able to really see India. The streets are full of people, cars, motorcyles, markets and houses. I tried to take a picture but our bus never came to a stop. The driving here is really different you just go where there is space it doesnt matter if someone is standing in the road and they honk all the time to let people know where they are.

Finally we made it to our hotel. Its beautiful and has security out front and checks everyones bags and we have to go through a metal detector so we feel safe here! Our rooms are really nice




Well we are finally going to get some sleep. Sorry if this post doesnt make a lot of sense I am really tired. We love and miss all of you! Especially Har!
